Not all climbing gyms in the Bay Area are welcoming to our Global Diversity. Many diversity signal for profit and have not pursued dismantling practices that impact Black and Brown and neurodiverse communities. We will not compromise the safety of our children participating in facilities that have not attuned for systemic racial practices that have long time impacted the BIPOC community of the Bay Area.Of the 20+ facilities in the Bay Area, there are a few open, accepting and safe for our sovereign joy. We wish to elevate them in our communities and yours. Please support small and independent gyms!
We are proud to call the community gym in the Oakland Fruitvale District, Oaktown Boulders our training, practice and comfort place to climb with our community!
