What is camping? Where? How? Why explore it? What are the benefits?
What is needed camping?
Camper's role in preparation, campsite responsibility, gear care.
Exploring environmental justices and radical conservation practices in nature.

Explore all of the cool camping gear and gadgets, learn what will work best for your growing interest. Did you know there are more than 10 different types of sleeping bags! Not all are the same! Today we will move about the store looking at different gear, testing it and finding what you like for your own developing adventure gear library /next trip with Brown Girls Climbing! Parents! Fundamentals and Footwork is magic when it all comes together. Now that we have going up and down on the slab, lets learn HOW to climb. Wear layers, bring/wear socks and sneakers. No crocs or slides. We will try on climbing shoes today!

•    Rash guards are great for cover up and protection. 
    
•    Aqua socks or strap back sandals are recommended.  
    
•    Sunscreen/hat
No crocs on the dock!

•    Water bottle (strap or carabiner is highly recommended)
    
•    Towel
    
•    Change of dry clothes

Our first practice on problems will be at Bridges tonight!  Come ready to climb, train and show all the effort to your peak!  

Set a goal of climbing 10-20 boulder problems tonight.  No more than a 2min rest between each problem. Warm up together as a group, progress low to high.  Bragging rights and boba on coach for climber w/most problems finished tonight!!

Wear: Appropriate climbing clothes/athletic clothes
